Agnes Scott College Psychology is different from many other psychology departments.

All of our students:

  • take a course dedicated to professional success, which prepares students for employment and/or graduate school after they graduate. Students create effective resumes, LinkedIn accounts, and cover letters. They explore possible careers and conduct informational interviews with alumnae in those careers. In addition, they practice interviewing, networking, and negotiating job offers.

  • work in at least one research lab with a professor and present their research at a research conference.

  • attend talks given by alumnae who speak about their lives after Agnes Scott.

  • develop strong mentor relationships with their faculty.

Most of our students:

  • intern at least once, which gives them valuable work experience.

  • participate in our psychology student organizations, with many taking on leadership roles.

  • attend our departmental and alumnae events.
